Contracts: So Everyone is on the Same Page
Hey everyone, today we're going to be talking about contracts, why they're important and how they are used in the industry.
"A written contract plays a vital role in any business transaction. Apart from making the agreement between concerned parties legally binding, contracts can also serve as future references, part of the business’ policies, as well serve as proof in the event of misunderstandings, complaints or disputes needing litigation proceedings." (Apfelbaum, 2017)
Contracts are a crucial element of any serious project because they let everyone know what their responsibilities are and what rights they have. Today I am going to be showing you two contracts. The first of which will be a contract designed to illustrate a real scenario in the industry - what would the contract look like if I was recording this band outside of SAE as a freelancing professional? The second contract will be an amended version to accomodate for factors relative to still being a student and undertaking this project for free.
Contract 1: Hypothetical Scenario
Contract 2: Contract Relevant to Current Circumstances
In this version of the contract, sections 3.0 and 4.0 have been amended to suit my current situation.
